  • Comments Thread For: Mayweather To Focus on Business, Family After Retiring

It often can be difficult for professional athletes when they retire, given how much of their lives have been dedicated to competition and training and how little time has been spent preparing themselves for what they will do when their lives are no longer so structured.

Floyd Mayweather is 38 years old, has been a pro for nearly 19 years, was a standout amateur before that and, given his family’s history in boxing, has been around the sport for pretty much his entire life. He says that his Sept. 12 pay-per-view against Andre Berto will be his final fight.

If I were you Floyd. Don't do business. If you don't have an education at all, business will burn your money faster than a blink of an aye. My advice to you. Just don't splurge you have enough for a thousand lifetimes.

And if you do business I expect you to be bankrupt in 5 years tops. Cheers!

I agree. He should literally just enjoy his money, keep going to the gym and see his kids grow.

He should learn to read and write for the first time in his life. Show his kids that its a good thing to do. Maybe one day he can read a Dr Seuss book.

How ironic that someone who talks about another man's education doesn't know the difference between right and "write" lol
