As BoxingScene.com reported late last night, German heavyweightr Manuel Charr is in hospital recovering after being shot in a late-night attack at a kebab snack-bar in Essen.

I like Vitali as much as anyone, but he looked terrible in that fight. Just like Chisora earlier in that year, Charr had him going backwards and eating way too many punches. No wonder he retired.
