The 'regular' featherweight champion of the World Boxing Association, Argentina's Jesus Cuellar, had words of praise for the achievement of Mexico's Leo Santa Cruz, the new WBA "super champion" at 126-pounds.

In addition, Cuellar warned that Santa Cruz is the fight he wants, but for now there are plans to make another defense in December. Cuellar (27-1, 21 KO) told Carlos Irusta that he's currently training in Oxnard, California.

i have question about leo still and of course cuellar has lots of question around him to...does cuellar really have power or is juanma just the worlds easiest ko at this point? can leo really be a boxer or was abner just entirely to small..i know he was tired and had a terrible gameplan..

either way this fight should be more competitive that abner was imo

Come on, JuanMa Lopez was crushed by Francisco Vargas the 11 of July, in 130 pounds, the fight with Cuellas was the 09-11, just 2 months later in the 125 pounds with a JuanMa drained, old and crushed.

That fight was a ****in cowardice.


Santa Cruz need to fight with Russell Jr, Lomachenko or Lee Selby, they are the 3 best opponents, in the divison.

ok i'm fine with the fights u named..but cuellar also dropped rico ramos and all of his fights except for one in the US have been stoppages or ko's..

this is a prove it fight anyway u look at..i love those kinds of fights..if russell gets in a prove it fight and they both win the fight between them just gets bigger..
