  • Comments Thread For: Donaire's Coach Not Worried: Quigg is Slow, Easy To Hit

The father/trainer of five division world champion Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire is confident his son can beat WBA super bantamweight champion Scott Quigg in a title showdown set for November 21 in Manchester, England.

Donaire who leaves for Lass Vegas next Thursday to open his son’s training camp said “I’m not worried about this guy Quigg. He may be heavy-handed but he is not really strong, he’s easy to hit and he’s slow compared to Nonito.”

Good fight, cant understand the hate for nonito. Willing to fight anyone. And unlike some people, dares to go to another country

donaire just looked shot against walters, good for a couple of rounds then capitulates, he's got no chance unless he can get an early ko cause after 3 rounds he will be reeling.

          So I guess Quigg-Frampton isn't happening, then?

What does this thread have to do with Floyd? He's on your mind 24/7 isn't he?

He fought in July and knocked some guy out in 2 rounds. Walters is huge and arguably one of the best FW's, no shame in it. Even a slightly past it Donaire will cause anyone problems, depends how past is he is.

this is a good fight, if only frampton would fight santa cruz we could get some clarity in this division. i think donaire takes it, quigg looked good against what apeared to be a shot to **** kiko martinez but other than that fights stiffs

Easy cherry pick for donaire, quigg is garbage, this win is going to fool a lot of people into thinking donaire is back

Quigg is a very good fighter with very good fundamentals. But he is a very slow starter and isn't the most versatile of boxers, so if Donaire even as a bit of what made him so special a few years ago, then I think he can catch and hurt Quigg early. Literally his only chance.

Noway Donaire can get a decision or late stoppage.

                  Very good match up.

I agree, Nonito rarely has the home town advantage and he has had few soft fights. He did lose to Walters, but Nicolas will never make 126 again. Quigg is a home boy, he works miracles at home, he fills stadiums, I guess. I prefer road warriors, they walk into traps and shoot thier way out. No home town miracles, like a quick stop for a small cut, or a blown out shoulder, or odd score cards.... miracles.
