Comments Thread For: Perez-Crolla II Finalized For November 21 in Manchester

Anthony Crolla will face Darleys Perez in a rematch for the WBA World Lightweight title at the Manchester Arena on November 21, live on Sky Sports.

Crolla and Perez clashed in the same venue in July where Perez kept hold of his title via a majority draw despite a tremendous performance from Crolla and having two points deducted in the second half of the fight for low blows.

Crolla got hard done by in the first go. Perez boxed lazy and got out-busied, out-fought and plain out-scored imo, points deductions clearly sealing it. Even at that, though, Perez looked, and is, the better technician and while Crolla is likely to set the same hot pace as before, Darleys now knows that Anthony can keep it up through the full twelve and not fade as the Perez camp might have been expecting last time. I'd like Crolla to win, if only because he should already have the belt, but I'll be surprised if Perez can't produce better than he showed in the first fight. If he comes with a bit of fire in his belly this time to match the ability he has, got to be Perez for me.

I thought Crolla won the 1st fight. But i can see the rematch being a little like the Smith Vs AA rematch, where the champion steps it up at the second attempt and puts in the better performance.

That's exactly what I'm thinking. Perez was really disappointing that night and Crolla seemed to fight out of his skin.

Yeah i agree mate. That was probably the best Crolla we could have seen, while Perez seems to have more gears in him.

joe gallagher catches shop lifter, he apprehends the di****able theif, but in the mele of chaos he manages to spasm his back and will not be in his corner. However he will be wheeled out in the build up to gain sympathy and put bums on seats. The theif was later realeased and gallagher has no memory of who it was, some say he was an illegal immigrant who was easily coerced for a free meal.
