Comments Thread For: Roach: Can't Put **** Fights on PPV, Cotto-Canelo Sells

New York - The trainer of WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto (40-4, 33 KO’s), Freddie Roach, has been known to voice a strong opinion on his fighters and their opponents. This time he made a comment about Cotto’s opponent on November 21, Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez (45-1,1, 32 KO’s) being lazy. Roach says the comment stems from when Alvarez trained in one of his gyms for his last couple of fights.

Roach has no control over what's put on PPV. That was Top Rank's decision.

Cotto will lose. Too slow. Pacquiao and Mayweather tore him to pieces. Canelo is just waiting for Mayweather to retire, and then dominate junior middle. If he can get past Golovkin, then he can comfortably control 2 weight classes.

He has no control over Cotto's fights either. The point is that he didn't make this comment when Manny was fighting Algeri on PPV.

What does that matter, really? This fight is a no nonsense PPV. It was just a subtle dig at Mayweather/Berto, which pretty much everyone agrees is a bull**** fight, espeically on PPV.

It's a bs ppv, we know that. But let he who is without sin cast the first stone.....on this matter Freddie is in a long line, whether it's by association or accomplice.
