Comments Thread For: Team Mundine Fire Back Strong at Danny Green

Danny Green says old foe Anthony Mundine won't have anywhere left to hide, claiming a long-awaited rematch with the West Australian will soon be his only option for a high-profile fight.

Green returned to the ring last Wednesday against Argentinean light-heavyweight Roberto Bolonti after a 33-month absence, and dominated to a ten round win at Hisense Arena.

Danny is right! No one wants to see mundine fight unless green is his opponent. Mundine has no options now. He has been paying people to fight him like Mosely to get some momentum and then gets schooled by clottey, a welterweight. Green is his only hope of getting paid now.

As Mundines manager said...the guy is fighting at CW and mundine is at 154.. LOL

I guess the only feasible weight for them to meet at would be light heavy...and i dont even know how easily green could get down there these days..

Mundine actually beat #1 ranked and unbeaten Rabchenko. I don't particularly like the guy but he is far more relevant in the current boxing landscape than Danny Green is.

As an Aussie I have no interest in a rematch, it's great Green is back but he should go for a title at cruiserweight or light heavyweight. Mundine is a super welterweight for God's sake, and I'm intrigued to see who Mundine has up next.

Mundine had no amateur career started boxing at 25 and became the first boxer to make $1M on his pro debut. He won every round and embarrassed green in front of 40,000 people. It was supposed to be the grudge match of the century but Mundine boxed his ears off..If that happened to me I'd be moving mountains to get the rematch but all green does is come up with childish excuses
