New York - Whether it was his ‘Mexican Style’, or his KO ratio, Gennady Golovkin (33-0, 30 KO’s) has resonated with fans throughout the country. He sold out the tennis arena at the Stub Hub Center in Carson, California. He put well over 12,000 fans on the Forum in Inglewood, California. Already for his showdown with David Lemieux (34-2, 31 KO’s) in New York, there have been 15,000 tickets sold at Madison Square Garden. With 2 months left, a sellout is expected.

i dislike very much that you keep on fighting tomato cans.

You can have the best style in the world but as long as you don't test yourself you'll keep looking invincible against bums.

True boxing fans know better and don't go with the hype except for your ******ed fans and ex pacquiao fans that turned to you (aka user Golovkin)

I realize he's not fighting world beaters but he's fought some good guys, calling them all cans is a stretch. Murray arguably beat Martinez and ggg beat the hell out if him. Once you reach a certain level it gets harder to blow guys away, it happens all the time punchers, but he's still been able to do it. I think his detractors aren't aware of how difficult that is to do.

IF people only appreciate stylists or warriors, fine. But there is no need for one to insult the other style for no reason. It's one thing if two fighters are matched up....then they talk trash. To each his ***ing own. Fighters can fight the styles that work best for them. I appreciate both types of styles.

Eh.....doing it against weak opponents isn't impressive to me. But at least he is doing what he suppose to do against this level of competition. Unlike Khan who gets his ass whooped against tomato cans and demands super fights right after.

That's because like Mexican fighters, he has no defense therefore he has no choice but to stand and trade.

Wake me up when he's successful with it against elite opposition.

Too funny considering that he wants his first fight against an elite opponent to be against a super welterweight. This fool is losing control of his ego real fast. Call me when he grows a pair and signs a fight with Ward.
