  • Comments Thread For: Frampton-Quigg: Hearn, Al Haymon Have Positive Talk

Promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport tells Daily Mail that he is 'more hopeful than ever before' that a huge showdown between super bantamweight champions Scott Quigg and Carl Frampton will actually happen.

Hearn has tried to make the fight in the past but there is a lot of tension with Frampton's promoter, Barry McGuigan, and the two sides have been unable to reach an understanding on the financial terms.

Good meetings with Arum here, positive meetings with Haymon there. Hopefully some actual fights come out of all this.

I'm impressed with Frampton. I knew all the time La Cobrita was no push over and El Paso was a little less than neutral. I won't say he looked great, but he jumped into the deep end of the pool. Jumped? Belly flopped, but he dusted himself off and took care of buisiness. I could stand another dose.

Damn, do you know the reason? I hope Quigg vs Frampton gets made soon if so.

Not really.... just the way he's talking online right now doesn't really seem confident like it's going to go off.

Frampton/Quigg the bigger fight to make, so if the Donaire fight is put aside for this i don't mind

I'd like to see Quigg out of his element. The hometown advantage can cause hype hysteria. Selby fighting Montiel is telling even if it is uneven. Not much confidence away from home.
