Comments Thread For: Lemieux: I Will Make Immature Sanchez Eat His Words!

New York - While many fighters look in the opposite direction when the name Gennady Golovkin (33-0, 30 KO’s) is mentioned, David Lemieux (34-1, 31 KO’s) embraced it last December when he stopped Gabriel Rosado in Brooklyn. The Canadian fighter said once he got a world title, he’d come back knocking on Golovkin’s door. He gets his chance to unify the IBF middleweight title that he won from Hassan N’Dam this past June with Golovkin’s WBA/IBO middleweight titles come October 17th. Lemieux is aiming at a coming out party on October 17th

Lemieux is straight shooter, good stuff. I like both guys so I don't care who wins, I'm just glad this fight got made and it has a nice undercard to go along with it.

Same here, just happy it's made. Pretty intense fight, along with roman claiming the throne by beating estradas leftovers lol.

Lemieux is just a front runner. After four or 5 rounds if he can't take you out he's pretty much done with. His 2 losses were to Rubio (Whom GGG destroyed in 2) and Joachim Alcine (Whom Alfredo Angulo and Mathew Macklin destroyed in 1). Both are known for their weak chins and Lemieux couldn't take them out early and he faded badly. GGG is on a different level than these 2 and he will not see the final bell. GGG will win an EASY TKO.

it will be an interesting week following the aftermath of Roman vs Viloria. I'm sure we will get threads claiming he's the number one pound for pound, top flyweight, unstoppable, etc.. Etc.. This should be fun, I suppose.

I truly believe most people don't even watch fights and just see names appear on resumes, and think that guy was at his pinnacle. That's what will happen here. We both know Viloria is well past it and has done nothing since Estrada clearly beat him, but guys in here will act like roman beat some guy in his prime. The frustrating thing about roman, and Juan, is, we know they have the skills to beat everyone in that weight range but they choose to take easier fights. That's why I've switched to team amnat lol.

He knows it, he just jokes about it. One idiot on here had Estrada winning that fight 10-2, seriously lol.
