  • Comments Thread For: Chavez Jr. Eyes Jack-Groves Winner, Bute, Smith

Former middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (49-2-1, 32 KOs) is still considering his options for a planned return in the fall, either in October or November.

Chavez Jr. has fought twice in 2015, losing by knockout in nine rounds to Andrzej Fonfara in April, and then came back in July to win a ten round unanimous decision over Marcos Reyes. Both of those fights took place at the light heavyweight limit, between 171 to 172-pounds.

I have a hard time believing Junior is eyeing anything except some swiss roll snack cakes.

Junior should fight loser but if he wants a shot, he better hope Jack wins because Groves is going for another big money fight with Chunky.

Already called this one, WBC will find a way to get him a shot at their Title at 168 without even having to earn it!

Chavez Jr vs Jack or Groves really wouldn't be all that of a match up to be honest, but he must make weight, they can't let him come in at 170 and still get a shot at the title
