  • Comments Thread For: Tarver: Cunningham Didn’t Do Enough To Beat Glazkov

Antonio Tarver is not among those that think Steve Cunningham was wrongfully denied a win he earned against Vyacheslav Glazkov.

Tarver (31-6, 22 KOs, 1 NC), who’ll face Cunningham on Friday night at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., doesn’t believe Cunningham did enough to convince judges he won that 12-round IBF heavyweight elimination match March 14 in Montreal. Ukraine’s Glazkov (20-0-1, 12 KOs) defeated Philadelphia’s Cunningham (28-7, 13 KOs) by unanimous decision (116-112, 116-112, 115-113) in a bout HBO broadcast from Bell Centre.

I scored it 116-112 for Glazkov. He was the stronger aggressor, he was more accurate and he landed the harder more effective punches.

Cunningham gave Glazkov a boxing lesson.

Glazkov should have 3 losses. Malik Scott, Derrick Rossy, And Steve Cunningham.

          Glazkov is ****.

I would Rather see Wilder or Joshua do it. I bet they do it in more Ruthless fashion.

Steve Cunninghan has as about as much power as Paulie Malignaggi. If he wants to impress the judges, he needs to sit the **** on his punches and do some damage. No one wants to see a HW throw pitter patter Joe Calzaghe punches.

For a guy throwing only pitter patter, Calzaghe had lots of stoppages.

Do you also remember being influenced by Harold Lederman's scorecard? Rds 8 and 9 could have easily been scored for Glaskov.
