    LOS ANGELES, CA – Three division World Champion boxer Abner Mares (@AbnerMares) is nearing his August 29 Premier Boxing Champions on ESPN fight vs. Leo Santa Cruz and is ready to enter the ring.

    “I’m hungry for victory, I’m ready to win,” said Mares. The fight for the fans and battle for boxing dominance in Los Angeles will take place at Staples Center and will be broadcast live on ESPN at 10 p.m. EST/7 p.m. PST.

      I believe Mares will beat Santa Cruz quite easily.

                                  Mares never got a belt at 130, it was 122. Super Bantam, not super feather. Although he was rumored to be setting up for a title clash at 130 against Miura I believe some years back, the fight never materialized and he remained at Feather.
