Comments Thread For: Froch Leaves Door Open For Return in The Future

Only a few weeks have passed since Carl 'The Cobra' Froch (33-2, 24KOs) announced his retirement from boxing. Froch has not fought since last May's brutal knockout of George Groves in their rematch before 80,000 fans at Wembley Stadium.

Froch, 38-years-old, grew tired of the long training camps and the tough weeks of promoting bouts. He wants to relax, spend time with his family and focus on other career ventures.

I knew this was coming. If Groves beats Jack & a return with DeGale's made, then he's gonna want a piece of the winner!

Here we go again, as soon as froch is left out the limelight he always pipes up with something to try and get his name out there again, the GGG fight was a publicity stunt he had no intention in taking that fight just like he has no intention of fighting ever again.

He's been frank from the beginning. If there's a potential 'super fight' available, he'll make a comeback.

Froch retired after he briefly considered a fight with GGG. After a few minutes he thought **** that. I'm retiring lol.

So he's waiting for DeGale to unify the titles?

No way. A boxer retiring or saying he'll retire isn't 100% closing the door on fighting again. Say it isn't so. Wow never thought I'd see the day.

Froch went out great if he has actually fought his last fight which is more than you can say about most guys who've made it to his level. He should value that. He had a great career with many of the top names of his era on his resume & usually he has the W. Gots money. Gots a nice gig. Gots a sexy wife who's willing to f#ck his bridge troll looking ass. If he fights again he doesn't appreciate how good he has it & in particular vs how many boxers at this point in their career have it.
