Comments Thread For: Gonzalez Inks With Haymon, Hugo Centeno Back on 9/12

BoxingScene.com has been advised that Alejandro Gonzalez Jr. (25-2-2, 15KOs) has signed on with adviser/manager Al Haymon.

Gonzalez, 22-years-old, is coming off last month's twelve round decision loss to IBF super bantamweight champion Carl Frampton. Gonzalez surprised a lot of people by dropping Frampton twice in the early rounds and used his height/reach to give the Belfast boxer some trouble in the contest. He ultimately lost a twelve round unanimous decision.

Good for him. He put up a spirited effort against Frampton under the lights when he was a massive underdog. He deserves another big opportunity.

That good but Shingo Wake & Jesus Magdaleno should fight for Frampton vacant belt since he leaving to 126 , not Gonzalez again

The kid has a granite chin i will give him that. Frampton was hitting him with shots that was rolling everybody else over. Barely blinked.

Seems like a solid guy to have around. Maybe not a world beater but tough and not an easy out for most anyone.
