  • Comments Thread For: Khan: Brook Needs Better Wins, Make Our Fight Bigger

Amir Khan (31-3, 19KOs) says his domestic rival, IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (34-0, 25KOs), needs to get bigger wins in order to make their showdown much larger than it currently is.

If they held the bout right now, Khan doubts the match is capable of selling out Wembley Stadium.

He is not impressed with Brook's streak of wins and criticized his 2015 victories over outclassed opponents Jo Jo Dan and Frank Gavin. Brook is likely going to return on October 24th in Sheffield and dangerous Diego Chaves is being mentioned as the frontrunner.

Amir Khan obviously believes that HE is the biggest name in boxing. How incredibly sad.

It's mental. I mean a lot of people believe Brook would beat Khan. Also, its an excuse that Brook-Khan would not sell out Wembley. It would sell it out twice. Khan's streak of Algieri, Alexander, Collazo and Diaz is hardly amazing. The standout win is Alexander, who was also soundly beaten by Porter, who Brook beat in America. I tell you what, if and when this Wembley fight happens, the crowd will be pro-Brook. I think Khan will be booed in.

tbf, even Hearns has reportedly agreed that Brook needs bigger names on his resume, so Khan ain't wrong there.

                He's got no losses Amir.

How about avenge yours from when you stepped up to "better" competition.

Twat. I hope the UK is pro Brook when they do fight. Amirs not the fan favourite he thinks he is.

Brook-Khan would be huge in the UK.Khan needs to realise this. There's plenty money in the fight and also a world title FFS.

Khan saying Brook needs to fight more notable names is just a plain duck.Brook already has a more notable name on his resume at 147 than Khan,Porter definitely is better than Collazo and a shot Alexander.

That's the problem with journalism, it's all about context. Even Eddie Hearn agreed so now they're fighting a solid name in Chaves and probably one more big fight before the Wembley clash.
