  • Comments Thread For: Cortez: Mayweather Will Fight Again, No Danger in Berto

On Tuesday, WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. finally announced his next fight, which is only a few weeks away. Mayweather will defend his world titles against former IBF/WBC champion Andre Berto, who is viewed as a very heavy underdog.

Fans are not happy with the selection and neither are most members of the press. Mayweather has been blasted by most media members for tabbing Berto as his selection.

Retired veteran referee Joe Cortez, who now works as an expert analyst for ESPN Deportes, sees it as an interesting fight.

Hey Cortez, no one cares what drivel comes outta your mouth. Go back to enjoying your Floydie-financed retirement.

Why did Cortez even say anything? Khan get a whiff of this, he is definitely not going to fight nobody formidable the rest of this year or in 2016 thinking he is Mayweather last fight.

Floyd could come back and beat Brook, Thurman, Khan and Garcia with relative ease. What's the point?

You have your money, your legacy is sealed. Ride off into the sunset and focus on building Mayweather Promotions.

                  Rock fought all comers

                  Jr ducked all comers
