WBC cruiserweight champion Grigory Drozd (40-1, 28 KOs) is not afraid of any challenges, even if they come from fighters he deeply respects. Drozd gave his opinion on a possible collision with red hot Ukrainian prospect Olexander Usyk (7-0, 7 KOs) earlier this week.

“Usyk is a great boxer. A possible fight with him will draw huge interest from both Russian and Ukrainian fight fans, from aficionados worldwide”, said TBRB #4 Drozd to Boxing Planet. “If he is ready (to fight me), than why not? I can see Drozd wanting to avoid this one for a while, his handlers have stated they want all the Russians to hold belts before matching them up with each other, Usyk is a huge threat to those plans. I expect we may see a unification sooner than later.
