  • Comments Thread For: Brian Rose Gets Revenge, Decisions Carson Jones

Craven Park, Hull - Brian Rose (27-3-1, 8 KOs) chose brawn over brains to avenge his controversial February loss to Carson Jones (37-11-3, 27 KOs).

That night, in Rose’s home town of Blackpool, the fight was waved off in the first round somewhat surprisingly by referee Ian John-Lewis who judged Rose in no position to continue.

rose at middleweight I cant see it. He'll probably have 10 tune ups now but say he's above british level. He'll say he's above blackwell yet fight 5 cabbies.

rose's nose was a bloody mess, he took load of uppecuts, if jones could have made a side step and opened the angle to get more of a hook on that uppercut and still get it up the middle where the only gap was, and hence a bit more power on it maybe he could have dropped him. But everytime I see an able sanchez fighter other than golovkin they dont throw enough punches or speed theyre movements up. Poor realy.

Rose has a lot of heart and can box nicely if given the space but he has no power and a move up to middleweight from now on (this was a stepping stone match made at 158) will put him in a world of trouble imo.

Scorecards were a disgrace, even more so than Rose literally screaming "Roar!" down the camera.

I enjoyed that fight, i didn't expect Rose to fight that way. Seemed like Rose's game plan to box went out the window when he was hurt a little in the 2nd round.

You seem to have the perfect strategy after your picks lose lol. Your talents are clearly wasted on NSB.

I bet on Jones by KO but you're always salty as **** when you don't get picks right. Slating Rose and saying Jones would have won if he'd done this, this and this lol.

The guy is probably the most biased commentator on here. His comments are always a conflict of interests.
