Comments Thread For: Yuriorkis Gamboa Eyes Lomachenko, Walters Bouts

Olympic gold medal winner Yuriorkis Gamboa is patiently waiting to get back in the ring. Gamboa is waiting to see what happens with the outcome of his promoter, Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson. Gamboa is promoted by SMS Promotions, which recently filed for bankruptcy.

Gamboa (24-1, 17 KOs), 33-years-old, has not been very active over the last few years. Last year, he put in a very courageous effort against WBO lightweight champion Terence Crawford, who stopped the Cuban boxer in nine rounds.

**** yeah! War Gamboa! If he fights smart he would shut Walters out. Lomachenko would be a 50-50 fight.

Gamboa is so talented and so physically gifted that if he stays fit, is healthy at the weight (I'm guessing super feather), he beats just about anybody out there. Heck he was beating crawford till the size got too much for him.

Gamboa has been such a wasted talent, I hope he manages to win 2 or 3 big fights before he retires and Loma, Walters, LSC/Mares would be the perfect swansong.

Crawford isnt such a skilled fighter, same story about Walters they take their opponets with size and power advantage. Loma is different stóry,he has crazy skills and can outbox without big power or size

Crawford adapts very well. Don't overlook that. And don't say that they re good only because their size till it's not proven.

I'm interested in both fights btw...
Stylistically Loma would be better for Gamboa. Can't see that Loma stops him the same way as Crawford did. Too small and hasn't got enough power to do that.
Walters... much harder stylistically to Gamboa. I don't know who would win.

"Crawford isnt such a skilled fighter"...I disagree with that. He is technically skilled and a superior boxer.

Go away man. Your career is over.

Is this what he's gonna do? Disappear for a year then target a big name?
