Yes. Very helpful until it goes to the ground which most street fights do. But knowing basic defense and having a good one two. Shiet, forgetaboutit.

Lol what a silly question. Most people can't even throw a proper punch. It doesn't take much to ko someone with a bare fist

The Average trained boxer will destroy the Average person in the streets who are not trained in boxing. As for the MMA Stuff, I don't know where some of you guys live but for the most part Street Fights are hand to hand combat 99.9% of the time which a few guys who like to go for take downs but they know they can't fight.
Big fan of MMA but it won't be any time to pull out Arm Bars and Choke Holds in a Street Fight. Again we're talking about a Street Fight in which anything goes. I would much rather stay on my feet in a street fight, GOD forbid somebody pulls out a gun or a knife, last place on want to be is on the ground having some guy in a choke hold and his friend pull out a gun and start shooting because his guy is being choked out
The Average person and to be honest I don't think many of the MMA fighters would be able to land a clean punch on a well trained boxer.

It depends on the level they're trained at. Let's say we're talking decent level Pros...Well put it this way, put any of us in a street fight with decent level pro fighter and i'd bet my house we wouldn't last 15 seconds.
I think i can hold my own against most people but i know a pro boxer or MMA fighter is going to smash me to pieces. That said, if an MMA guy did take me down, i'd try to bite the hell out of him and not let go if anything goes but i'd still be well beaten. If a pro boxer lands one on anyones chin on this forum, it'd be goodnight.
These guys are trained fighters, it shouldn't be underestimated how dangerous they are to the average man.
