  • Comments Thread For: Scott Harrison is MIA After Being Extradited To Spain

On Friday last week, Scott Harrison was extradited to Spain, following appeal judges Lord Carloway, Lady Smith and Lady Clark upholding the decision, made by Sheriff Thomas Welsh QC earlier this year, that Mr. Harrison must return to Spain to serve a four year prison sentence, with regard to a 2012 charge of assault against three people that was heard in his absence, however since his extradition his family have been unable to ascertain where the former WBO World Champion is being imprisoned.

Four years in prison for assault? An American athlete would get that swept under the rug in no time

He already served 30 months for a separate assault in the same city. He was 'convicted in absence' because he was in prison. Hell, it was probably the same judge.

          That's truly a *****.

          Seems completely unjust.

          And the UK extradited him.

The problem with this guy is people kept making excuses for him, that's why he would never stop drinking and offending.

He was released in 2011 for the other one, says he was sentenced for this in 2012.

I guess I was mistaken than. I remember following the story at the time, but I guess I got it mixed up. I guess he went back to Scotland, and so they convicted him in absence because he was in Scotland.

However, I'm pretty sure the second assault was from before he served his prison term. Seems pretty unduly harsh, and I feel quite bad for the guy.
