Well there you have it. Floyd fans think if Mayweather beats Golovkin, he will not get any credit. On the contrary, I believe it would be Mayweather's hardest fight to date. Then again he isn't obliged to face Golovkin.

At 154 Floyd would absolutely get no credit? How long have you been watching fights? I've seen this show a million times. As the fight gets closer and closer people will talk more and more about GGG making 154 and slowly but surely all the credit YOU THINK Floyd would get will dissipate before the win is counted as nothing.

Btw you would be the first fool to say Pac is top 10 if he was to fight and beat Alvarez and GGG.

First off, if May beats GGG I'd probably agree with him being top 10.

Second off, I made a thread with a poll about Floyd's ATG ranking and I personally voted him in the top 20. That's not a place I'd put Pac.

Third off, the general consensus in the aforementioned thread, which includes many but not all participating Pac fans, placed Floyd in the range of 15-35. Stop acting like everbody is not giving Floyd any credit for beating Pac, or that everyone is acting like Floyd is a bum.

If Floyd can beat GGG at 160, he would be the best of this era. Right now he is one of the best of this era, arguably the best of this era.

It woud be equivalent to SRLs win over Hagler. Apart from GGG is not quite as good as Hagler yet, but I take into consideration Floyd is a lil smaller than SRL.

I think it's a ****** comment for two reasons. First that fight has no chance of ever happening. Team Mayweather wants GGG to fight him at 147 and GGG won't do that. Secondly Mayweather has been fighting pro for about 18 years and been in well over twenty world title fights and he is past his prime. He is either one of the 10 best fighters of all time by now or he isn't. His rating in history should already be established by his 48 fight body of work. Where he rates among the all time greats should not depend on the outcome of one single fight with GGG when he is 38 years old and past his prime.

So? I'd arguably say SRL > Floyd had they ever fought. Yes he's gone to many weight classes, that's impressive and all, but how many divisions has Pacquiao moved up again...? Does Pacquiao get a freebie for coming up.from FLYWEIGHT? He didn't get as much credit for that fight because they should have fought 5 years ago instead of their grandpa age. Yeah he probably still would have won, but notice anything? Draining Canelo to 152, fighting Pacquiao when they're both old and Pacquiao had been KTF out, fighting a worn down ODLH. Despite all that, I'd still put him top 20 all time... and I'd put him top 5 if he beat Golovkin at 154. Rocky Marciani beat Joe Louis and remained undefeated--- he should be top 10, right?

Then he moved onwards and won the world title @ Welterweight, middleweight, and failed at light heavyweight due to passing out from extreme heat in the 14th round (...and he was ahead on the scorecards that fight).
