Comments Thread For: Tarver: Once Klitschko Lands Right, Fury Will Be Gone!

Antonio 'Magic Man' Tarver (31-6, 22 KOs) is preparing for his own assault at the heavyweight championship of the world as he is currently in training for an August 14 clash against Steve Cunningham. The Florida native hopes victory over his fellow veteran will lead to a title shot, perhaps against the winner of Wladimir Klitschko versus Tyson Fury. Nevertheless, Tarver believes that Fury will be another one of Klitschko's victims come October 24.

As I see it, Tarver is 100% correct about Fury, and now we get to wait and see what transpires in the ring.

I think Tarver is way off here. Tyson has some skills too and can win a fight on technique too, not just size. If he and Tarver fought, he would knock Antonio out IMO.

Agree 100%... People are claiming Fury has tremendous skill... Please explain? Was it because he boxed slow, fat Chrisora. Didn't see him out box Cunningham, in fact he got dropped and used elbows like he was in the f***ing WWE. Fury won't be able to bully Klitchko like most his opponents he had 6 inches on and possibly 50lb weight advantage on damn near every opponent that is in real good shape. Dude is a joke in the sport.

I swear, England should have had that fool riding the short bus and had his a** wearing a helmet. Dude is a joke!

Vlad WILL land that overhand right... question is, how does Fury respond. Most guys go into defense/shell mode shortly after.

Tyson is great for the sport because he's a spectacle and has a lot of personality which is good for him and the audience. Yet beating guys like Chisora really hasn't shown the U.S. audience much which is why he gets a lot of flack. I mean it's great he can be ambidextrous and all that but has he really shown a level of exceptionally? Maybe to some of his fans and the U.K. crowd that's behind him as a hoper. I hope he's the real deal but he's going to be across from a whole lot of experience and a lot of grueling hours spent under the tutelage of E.Steward.
