Former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (49-2-1, 32KOs) struggled to make the super middleweight limit this past Saturday night for his fight with Marcos Reyes. The fight went from 168 to a contract weight limit of 170-pounds. Chavez still came in overweight at 170.8-pounds.

Chavez was returning from a ninth round TKO defeat to top light heavyweight contender Andrzej Fonfara (27-3, 16KOs).

I bet chavez will be the first guy in boxing history to have his opponents weight limit be lower than his has to be.

I hope they do fight again but this time at the real light heavyweight limit of 175 so Fonfara can destroy Chavez Jr in even more devastating fashion.

And in doing so, Fanfare would make countless boxing fans quite happy.
