  • Comments Thread For: Berto's Coach Predicts Mayweather Would Be Tested

Virgil Hunter, trainer of former champion Andre Berto (30-3, 23KOs), feels his boxer's abilities are being overlooked and underrated.

The heavy industry talk has Berto in line to face WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (48-0, 26KOs) on September 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, with the event taking place without a pay-per-view fee on CBS.

Depends how serious Floyd is , he is probably the most vulnerable he has ever been right now and if he takes this for granted and is not motivated who knows , good fighters that are given no chance at all can put up the best performance of their careers bigger upsets have happened before .

              ktfo by soto karass

when a gatekeeper with 10 losses stops you that often signals the end

for berto it means he gets to fight mayweather

berto's real secret is that few people even follow his career anymore or know how bad it is

if khan got stopped by soto karass the memes would never end

I don't even have a problem with this fight as Mayweather's swan song. He's just taking one last easy fight on network television to end his contract and retire (possibly...). I mean, his last real fight will always be remembered as being the long awaited showdown against Manny Pacquiao. Nothing can really top that, unless he fought GGG at 160 but that's not happening and nor should it.

I'm still hoping it's Khan though, just because that's not as crap of a fight as this one.

This will be such an embarrassment to boxing if this fight gets made.
