British star Amir Khan (31-3, 19KOs) believes that both he and Andre Berto are the two fighters in the running to face WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (48-0, 26KOs) on September 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Khan and Berto are stablemates under trainer Virgil Hunter. They also share the same adviser in Al Haymon, who also works with Mayweather.
Khan has long been rumored to be the opponent for Mayweather. But every time it appears the Bolton boxer will land the opportunity, Mayweather comes out of left field with a different selection.
