Comments Thread For: Viloria Hopes Juan Francisco Estrada Rematch Happens

Former two division world champion Brian Viloria is looking forward to a rematch with Juan Francisco Estrada, the talented Mexican who captured Viloria’s WBO and WBA flyweight titles via a twelve round split decision in Macau on April 6, 2013 but wishes to first take care of business against Mexican journeyman Danny Flores.

Meh, I thought it was a clear win for him... but Estrada needs a big fight after doing nothing for like a year and Viloria needs one before retiring/forced to retire from Roman

If this rematch is going to happen I hope they just get it out of the way asap so Estrada can just go on to rematch Gonzalez already, which is the true fight everyone wants to see.

I didnt score it but it seemed like a pretty tight fight to me. I thought Viloria took part of the first half while Estrada took most of the second. It wasnt a blow out and it was a very good fight so Im not against a rematch here.

Fighting this nobody is not building any expectations. Flores is so bad, Viloria will lose momentum if he doesn't blow him out and beating him in any way will add no luster to Viloria's record. Stay busy = wasted effort in this case, he gets better competition in the gym.
