Comments Thread For: Roy Jones Jr. is Set To Face Tony Moran in Liverpool

Tony Moran has been handed the chance of a lifetime.

The former British and Commonwealth title challenger, who had time in the octagon as Rampage Jackson’s training partner, will face boxing royalty in the autumn.

Moran returned to the squared circle in May with a four-round victory over Jody Meikle, but will now take on the man who won an Olympic silver medal and was voted Fighter of the Decade in the 1990s at Aintree Equestrian Centre.

Tony Moran:15-6 5 KOs and lost 4 by KO.Relatively safe fight for Jones;or relatively safe fight for Moran....depending on how you want to look at it.Moran is listed as 6'6''....does anyone know if that's correct?

I seen this on Facebook yesterday. I don't know Roy's opponent personally but a few of my mates do, so seen a few facebook posts on the subject.

Obviously a showcase fight for Jones, but the fella is big Jones fan by all accounts so seems like a dream come to true for him.

Even matchup, I guess. They're both absolutely garbage so it should be a close fight. This Moran guy got knocked the **** out twice about 10 years ago against 8-1 fighters. Now with like a 10 year break after those losses he came back two months ago to beat a 8-52 fighter via decision. Not sure who'd want to see these two fight, let alone pay to see them fight.

seems like the only logical explanation. I hope not.

You would think that with his gig on HBO he gets decent money.

RJJ going for the Cruiserweight belt!!!!!
