Comments Thread For: Chavez Jr.: Nobody In Boxing Can Beat Me At My Weight

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.’s technical knockout loss to Andrzej Fonfara clearly hasn’t hurt his confidence.

“When I fight at my weight, I can beat anybody,” Chavez said Thursday while discussing his July 18 fight against fellow Mexican Marcos Reyes. “There’s nobody in boxing who can beat me when I fight at my weight. I feel this is the best part of my career and on July 18th I’m gonna win.”

Top rank brought him up and built a star not worthy of being a star.

Haymon got him and one fight ruined it all by putting him in with someone his size.

          Haymon gonna save boxing though...

He did used to fight at 147 against huge tomato cans, older man brought from cantinas. So maybe it's that weight.

But he can't make that anymore! Or maybe he can with some diuretics.

                    What is his Weight? 164?

If Chavez can get back to 160 with that size and Chin then yeah I think Jr can do some damage at 160. I think he would whip guys like Quillin, Danny Jacobs and Andy Lee again. Because he would take the fight to GGG even that would be interesting but can he safely make 160 without draining himself and using diuretics is the big question
