  • Comments Thread For: Kevin Mitchell Targets The Winner of Perez vs. Crolla

Kevin Mitchell is turning his attentions to the WBA world lightweight title and hopes to fight the winner of Darleys Perez v Anthony Crolla, which takes place on July 18 live on Sky Sports.

Londoner Mitchell, 30, suffered more world title agony on May 30 when he was stopped in the 10th round by WBC champion Jorge Linares, but he is determined to bounce back once more and finally achieve his childhood dream.

Mitchell (39-3-0, 29 KOs) told Boxing News: "I’m not being big-headed or anything but I look at the weight division and I’m the biggest threat to the current world champions. I would fight any of the champions.

kev you took too long to get your punches off, you should have ducked and hit his body, your leaning on that front foot too much for that uppercut.

Since when did getting brutally stopped in your last fight qualify you for another title shot?
Hope the shit **** gets blasted again.

Translation: Mitchell expected Linares, the champion, to fight him at home in the UK and doesn't want to return the favor and rematch him in the champion's home, so he will seek a softer route to a belt.
