Comments Thread For: Golovkin's Promoter: We'd Fight Ward at 164, 50-50 Split

Promoter Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions, who handle IBO/WBA middleweight champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (33-0, 30 KOs), says a fight can certainly be worked out with WBA super middleweight king Andre Ward (28-0, 15 KOs).

But the deal would have to be under Golovkin's terms and not dictated by Ward. Loeffler feels Golovkin has surpassed Ward as a ticket seller and in terms of name recognition - making GGG the A-side of the negotiations.

Oh GTFO. Now GGG fans will defend this, while criticizing Canelo and Cotto for fighting at 155 or whatever.

164, what happened to anyone from 154-168? I think they got the 4 and the 8 mixed up.

Be prepared for GGG fans who have killed cotto and canelo for 155 to be on the attack!!

Come on GGG fans. Explain this.

Real fans have clocked his team's bull**** for a while and now it's on full display.

                    Indefensible.
