Comments Thread For: Mayfield Stirs Pot With Claim of Battering Pacquiao, Khan

Potential Floyd Mayweather Jr opponent Karim Mayfield has raised eyebrows after claiming he "whooped" both Amir Khan and Manny Pacquiao in sparring.

The unbeaten Mayweather casued a huge stir after his victory over Pacquiao by naming Mayfield and Andre Berto as those leading the chase to fight him next and Mayfield (19-2-1-KO11) believes he is the man most deserving of a shot at 'Money'.

The 34-year-old said: "No disrespect to Andre Berto, he's a good fighter and we have a mutual respect for one another, but he's not as durable as I am. Berto has two losses against opponent's Floyd has already defeated.

      I agree.

He's the most deserving opponent after his stunning 8 round points victory over Michael Balasi.

After his heartbrakingly close losses to Dulorme and Taylor, his stunning victory over Michael Balasi has surely catapulted him right to the top of the division. Put that in with his 66" reach, shorter than that of Pac and Porter, and he is definitely a worthy contender capable of giving Mayweather a competitive fight.
