Comments Thread For: Hopkins To Be Part of HBO Broadcast Team For 7/25

Future Hall of Famer Bernard "The Alien" Hopkins has advised BoxingScene.com that he will part of the HBO broadcast team for Sergey Kovalev's July 25th title defense against mandatory challenger Nadjib Mohammedi.

Hopkins was part of the HBO team for Kovalev's most recent fight, a stoppage victory over Jean Pascal.

Foreman, Jones Jr., L. Lewis, Andre Ward, Hopkins...what do they all have in common... besides that they all ******? Well, I take that back Foreman was only below avg...

I miss Em Steward, by far the best analyst! Why can't we get a very deep boxing analyst who will actually be very technical... (Maliganggi is a great example when he's not cack-riding for his faves)...

I want veteran top-trainer if possible... I seriously would rather have Roberto Garcia get an offer rather than B-Hop..

Max Kellerman is the worst boxing commentator/analyst period... We know why he has his job, but that's a different story...to replace Larry Merchant with that pos really brought down the broadcast's value...

I agree Max Kellerman is the worst boxing commentator/analyst.

But I enjoy Bernard Hopkins' commentary.

I don't like Tarver and I can't stand Roy. Bernard is actually good, so is Paulie.

He'll probably announce who he's fighting next. Could be DeGale or Golovkin based on what he hinted.

I'd love to see Hopkins vs GGG, but for BHop's sake, he better think twice about having GGG as his opponent.

I also like BJ. That is as long as he isn't a friend of one of the fighters when he is announcing a fight. For intense the overzealous rooting that he was doing for Eddie Chambers when he fought Adamek was absolutely ridiculous.

Hopkins is a good guy, good for him, I enjoy hearing him call the action from ringside.
