Comments Thread For: O'Sullivan: Eubank Jr. is a Gutless Coward, Arrogant Gob

Gary 'Spike' O'Sullivan has called out all world middleweight champions and branded Chris Eubank Jr 'a gutless coward.'

The Irishman suffered his only career defeat two years ago - a points defeat to new WBO world title challenger Billy Joe Saunders - and has caused a stir in America lately with both his punching power and outlandish behaviour.

O'Sullivan stopped Milton Nunez at Madison Square Garden in March and back in May, caught the eye in Boston on the James DeGale v Andre Dirrell undercard by blasting aside Melvin Betancourt in two rounds to the delight of the local Irish contingent.

You're the one who priced himself out of a fight. Eubank Jr KO's this guy.

Ha, exactly - Spike harassed Eubank for two years then got the opportunity to fight him in London and turned it down.

Now he's expecting to get Eubank in his own backyard? I can't see it happening.

Let's be real, Spike hasn't beaten anyone of merit. He has fought one live body his whole career - Billy Joe Saunders - and he lost all 12 rounds. And Saunders was in 2nd gear throughout.

Wouldn't mind seeing Spike vs Dmitry Chudinov, the tough Russian who Eubank just beat. Personally, I see Chudinov beating the Irishman.

Lemieux would flatten him inside three rounds. Spike has some nerve talking about big gobs, he's talking like he's Marvin Hagler when in reality he's a domestic-level fighter at best.

I'd make Nick Blackwell, the current British middleweight champion, a slight favourite over Spike too.

This guy is a great self promoter. I do wish Golovkin and Rigo would come out with stuff like this.

This isn't quite true. Yes Eubanks promoter Frank Warren did offer SPike the right but with options on his next 3 fights if Spike won. Hardly a fair offer?

Who spiked this bum's guinness. Saunders played with O'Sullivan. Junior would pulp his empty head. WOULD be good fun, though.

It's pretty common fair to ask for options in a voluntary defence of a title. I know Eubank Jr's title shouldn't be worth **** but that's the situation.
