The date of October 9th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn is being mentioned for the light heavyweight showdown between Andrzej Fonfara (27-3, 16 KOs) and former WBO light heavyweight champion Nathan Cleverly (29-2, 15 KOs), according to Sports Review.

The two boxers were mentioned to be facing each other in 2012, but the fight never happened. Cleverly was the WBO champion from 2011 to 2013, when he was knocked out in four rounds by Sergei Kovalev. Since then he recorded three wins and one defeat. In the last fight he halted in the first round Tomas Man.

I would rather like to see Fonfara against Eleider Alvarez, Oosthuzien or Beterbiev to be honest. Cleverley is done, Fonfara will just hammer the last nail in his coffin.

if its one thing about pbc and haymon..i'd say better fight card placements..the guy did just stop chavez i guess so he has more ppl knowing him now but to headline the garden or barclay seems tough cooking..
