  • Comments Thread For: Brook: Khan Wouldn't Live With Himself if a Brit Beat Him!

Sheffield’s Kell Brook (35-0, 24 early) waited a long time for his world title shot. The welterweight spent a few years in contention when moving towards the WBO title, which he never got to fight for, followed by his pursuit of the IBF belt after joining Eddie Hearn’s promotional stable in 2011.

Injuries led to spiked fights and, for a time, it seemed that he would wither on the vine of contention.

All that changed in August of last year when “Special K” travelled to California for an IBF title tilt against Shawn Porter. One majority decision win later and Brook’s world was turned on its head. A champion at last, he went on holiday with his family to celebrate before planning his next move. [Click Here To Read More]

Its well known this is the only reason Khan refuses the fight.

Khan isnt scared of anyone, he never has been. He would fight anyone.

    Except Brook.

The thought of losing to his career rival, he wont allow the possibility, and doesnt want to give Brook that moment. He refuses to entertain the thought.

And punchers. He doesn't like fighting those anymore.

Career rival lmao. He's faced one guy with a pulse last year and now he's back to bums. He's done nothing.

The guy practically mooched off of Khan ffs.

Even way back in 2011 he couldn't keep a LWW Khan's name out of his mouth. Remember, Brook is known outside of home soil because his name is attached with Khans'. Fact!

Because Khan was saying he would move up to 147 since 2011?

Domestic rival is a better word. They've been tied to each other for awhile now and have traded words in the past on many occasions. I know Khan fans like to live on Khans accomplishments at 135 and 140 6 years ago but the rest of the Boxing community doesnt live in this imaginary word and its "What have you done for me lately"

Kell Brook is already more established at welter weight than Khan is. All Im taking from Khans campaign is that he beat the guy that was beaten by the guy Brook beat, and made Chris Algieri look like a superstar.

If Brook had Haymon or GB he would have had Berto, Judah, Ortiz and the likes on his resume already but instead people want to criticize him for not having a promotional machine behind him as if it takes away from his talent and the fact hes as legit as any welterweight in the world.

GGG fights tomato cans but people KNOW hes the best middle weight in the world and people still want to see him get the fights he probably hasnt earned, because of his talent. Khan fans just dont want to see Khan lose to Brook and thats okay lol..

I guess its more serious for the folks in the UK

You're now claiming they aren't even rivals

Both British and both near the top of their weight class.

                Not rivals my arse.

Calling out the unified champ at 140 lbs whilst you can't even materialize a title shot at your own weight?

Strictly speaking on just the "career rival" point. Brook would not be relevant as he is unless he used Khan's name.

They are now, but Brook has done a great job in using Khan's name to build Kell.
