    In the televised opener, 28-year old 2008 Colombian Olympian Oscar Rivas (17-0, 12 KO), 244, fighting out of Montreal, Canada, continued his march to contention in the Heavyweight division with a first round stoppage of 25-year old Jason Pettaway (17-3, 10 KO). It was an eventful round, Rivas scoring three knockdowns but losing two points for the first when he struck Pettaway on the deck. Referee Robert Byrd called the official halt to the bout at 2:25 of round one.

    Fun fact: The worst card, the wide one for Wade, was turned in by Robert Hoyle, ie the guy that handed in the 119-109 card for Mickey Bey against Vazquez.

          Geez Wade isn't very good. Talk about inactive. He'd get killed By any decent middleweight. I bet on Wade, so not upset. Although the right man didn't win.But that's boxing

              Solomon was absolutely robbed. He landed way more power punches, and Wade's own corner was telling him he was losing. The booing crowd at the end says it all. There's no way Wade will beat top class middleweight competition unless he improves dramatically.
