Sources in the UK have advised BoxingScene.com that there is some discuss for a light heavyweight showdown between Andrzej Fonfara (27-3, 16KOs) and Nathan Cleverly (29-2, 15KOs). The fight is being targeted for a fall date in the United States.

After a brief stint in the cruiserweight division, Cleverly - a former WBO world champion - dropped back to light heavyweight last month with a first round blowout of Tomas Man. His only loss at light heavyweight was to Sergey Kovalev in 2013.

Gotta give it to Cleverly. The guy is always biting off more than he can chew. I doubt he beats Fonfara though, he might even get stopped.

I think he gets stopped too. Most likely won't be as lethargic as the bellew rematch, but he lost a piece of him after kovalev

I wouldn't be so sure as he hasn't fought a decent light heavyweight since Kovalev. I wouldn't read too much into his cruiserweight performances as he appeared to bulk up and fight like a bodybuilder in sacrificing his biggest asset - his endurance.
