Comments Thread For: Malignaggi: Pacquiao Should Fight Crawford in Comeback

Former two division champion Paulie Malignaggi discussed a number of options for the comeback of eight division champion Manny Pacquiao.

Malignaggi views undefeated WBO junior welterweight champion Terence Crawford (26-0, 18KOs) as the best opponent for Pacquiao's return. Both fighters are promoted by Top Rank and showcased on HBO.

    Good test for Crawford.

Only problem is Pac probably wants to retire on a win, not an ugly loss to Crawford.

Pacquiao should fight Broner at 140. Then after Pac demolishes Broner, Big Bro Floyd will want to fight Pac again in 2016 for his 50th win.

Crawford is too much for a shot Pacquiao. It will be easy work for Crawford.

        I predict Crawford by KO

Pacquiao doesn't really have a choice. It's far too late in his career to have tuneups. If he wins, I think that's going out on a pretty good note, and if he loses, Crawford isn't anyone where you lose to and think "How he'd lose to this bum."

Although I feel Paulie has an agenda of wanting to see Pac get beat up and feels Crawford has the best chance of making it happen.

Malignaggi don't need to be speaking at all. No power, knockout losses galore. He's pathetic. He talked alot of trash when he used to fight regularly, now that he's an announcer he kinda calmed it down.

I don't see Pac having much trouble with Crawford.

Magic man is so True!! You set up ENUFF of these kinda fights and all you'll ever remember of Floyd's contest's (can't call'em fights) is true disappointment. DUDE was brilliant but he never fought. It's a shame cuz he could've stopped some of them but we'll never know. Put him in the HALL
                ALREADY and let boxing ARIZE!!!!!

Paulie is on Showtime but is obsessed with talking about an HBO fighter who dominated Algieri, the same Algieri who got robbed against the Khan that Paulie idolizes and talks about like he's Sugar Ray Robinson...

Oh yah, Paulie..there was VADA testing in that fight something Paulie's hero Floyd would never use in one of his fights...

Not sure what Pacquiao will be at this point, Crawford isn't a big name and is still fighting at 140..the fight makes no sense at this point...

had mayweather did not run all night when fighting pacquiao, feather-fisted maggi would have a different note...and

granting pac wins over crawford, i doubt maggi will ask mayweather for a rematch...i don't know what he's up to...

but pac-crawford is a good fight...
