Oscar de la Hoya, boxing's former "Golden Boy" who retired in 2008, is reportedly considering a comeback at age 42.

De la Hoya says he is clean and sober after twice undergoing rehabilitation for drugs and alcohol and is fit as ever.

"I feel great - 42 is the new 32," de la Hoya told ESPN. "I feel amazing. In my life right now, I have so much motivation. I am so hungry and so determined."

He has Canelo...and Matthysse. Adding himself to his own stable would create a big buzz for GBP. Even though it would be in a circus type of way, it would still be massive attention. He'd fight GGG just to make GGG a PPV fighter to put him in vs Canelo, in a big PPV fight. If DLH does this, that would probably be the most hardcore promotional tactic a promoter has ever done, that I know of Why else would he want to come back, he's bored?

Screw it Oscar do it!!! If you have the passion still and feel that ure body can handle it, then go for it. Give ure fans, ureself and ure famliy one more memory, one more big event. To the people hating you know ure asses would watch ggg vs de la hoya on ppv no doubt. It's not like Oscar is that old anyway look at bhop and marquez. Plus the man seems to be the best he's ever been mentally. For 3G this is the fight you want. This is the fight that gets you the most exposure and will showcase ure talents to the casuals out there. Win win for everybody.

Hahaha what..... Canelo isn't going to Haymon dude. Haymon has one true star floyd. Did cotto, wlad and manny go to Haymon. Canelo don't need that dude putting him on sorry ass Pbc cards. Cheesy ass Titan tron, and horrible ass announcers. But hey that lara vs delvin and the upcoming Jacobs vs mora fights those were epic huh lol o shiz that wilder vs molina and those Charlo fights. What about that garcia vs Paulie fight coming up two. Can't wait for Jhon molina, chris arreola, luis collazo, zab judah, ishe smith,Jleon love,Mickey beys upcoming fights with the true "stars" of the pbc

Why does he want to come back and, supposedly, face GGG, in the same year he lost most of his top stars to Al Haymon...? Makes no sense, plus he is about to make more money off of Canelo vs Cotto, but maybe he feels that after Cotto, it has to be GGG, but feels GGG is not very well known yet and wants to make that happen himself. Also, DLH vs GGG PPV, more money for him and his company, while maximizing Canelo vs GGG's hype. Storyline: Canelo avenging his promoter's beating at the hands of GGG. DLH is crazy enough, we know this from seeing what he does in the news.
