Comments Thread For: Broner Averaged 26 Punches Per Round, Says CompuBox

Shawn Porter pressed the action all night, outlanded Broner while throwing nearly 300 more punches for the fight. Adrien Broner averaged 26 punches thrown per round and probably averaged that many clinches per round as well.

Unbelievable that Adelaide Byrd scored this so close. Actually, it's quite believable given her horrendous track record.

Broner knocks Porter down in the final round and throws ZERO jabs and throws LESS than Porter.

With an average of 7 punches landed per round, Broner was outlanded all night long... Yes: he floored Porter into the 12th, but was still outlanded 12 to 8...

The Compubox figures show how scared Broner acted during the fight (even if the stats don't provide a clinch count)...

Yea absolutely unbelievable, this wasn't a hard fight to score .Broner only held and threw very few shots , she should at least be made to go through her score card with the commission as this is totally inept judging and needs to be addressed. To say that Porter only won this fight by two rounds is disgraceful and one point given Broner's point deduction ...what was she watching ????

Clinch Stats would put Klitschko to shame.

Broner's total punches thrown in recent 12 round fights:

                vs Malignaggi - 843
                vs Maidana - 400
                vs Carlos Molina - 614
                vs Emmanuel Taylor - 524
                vs John Molina - 502
                vs Porter - 309

Can you imagine a fantasy fight between 2008 Pacquiao and Broner at Lightweight or Light Welterweight

I scored the fight 114-112 for Porter. 114-111 if you deduct one extra point from that's entirely possible. He threw a lot of crisp counters that many haters won't credit him for.

Nice crisp counters you say, but how bout the body work Porter was doing even when in the clinches, he got outworked every round, im not even gonna bring Porters nice head shots because the body work alone could win him every single round except the 12th, only cause of the KD, other then that you could be generous give Broner rounds out of pity.
