You obviously didn't read the article.

This isn't about whether Golovkin goes to 154 or not. He has already stated several times that he will do it to fight Mayweather.

This is about Floyd Sr asking for a rehydration clause after the weigh-in. Did they ask for one against Oscar, Cotto or Canelo at 154?

Oscar, Cotto, and Canelo, were not middleweights.

Also..... Oscar, Cotto, and Canelo, are stars..... Golovkin is not.

BTW, Mayweather Snr will not be involved in that fight negotiation, somebody just asked him for his opinion, unfortunately.

GGG will move down 6-8 pounds for Floyd but not up 6-8 pounds for Ward?...the sport is DEAD...the business is alive....the new era way of ducking...it's not good BUSINESS...but it's a good fight....the sport aspect is DEAD....fill these diva's pocketbooks with few M's for 30-36 minutes or less, of combat!!...some LOYAL HARDCORE fans of the sport are even riding that bs wave...arguing attendance numbers and the A side B side bs and PPV numbers or viewing ratings....this is the NEW AGE fan's way of saying my fav fighter is better than yours.... It would be far easier for Golovkin to fight Ward at 68 than Floyd at 54.

According to his team, Golovkin is happy to fight Chavez and Froch at 168.....
..... so he obviously has no problem fighting at super-middleweight.

Golovkin has never made 154, and has fought the last 9 years at 160.

It would be far easier to prepare for Ward than Mayweather.

Ward/Golovkin is inevitable unless one gets tripped up. HBO wants that fight at some point, and will make it happen.

There is nothing to support that assertion.

Until recently, Team Golovkin would not even mention Wards name, and when they did, it was Able Sanchez blurting out excuses.

You have to go with the obvious.

Pacquiao fans like to assert that Manny will fight Canelo/Maidana/Brook/Thurman/etc..... but Pac simply does not fight top guys who are on top of their game, he never has..... so he is highly unlikely to start now.

The same with Golovkin, he will continue fighting the same level of opponent.

Come on, we know why the rehydration clause stipulation is being put out there. Because Golovkin isn't a past prime fighter like Oscar or Cotto.

We know why the catchweight was made for Canelo too.

I don't particularly expect or care if Floyd fights GGG or not but the excuses are not there. Floyd has fought at the 154 limit and if a fighter can make it, then why shouldn't he fight them?

He doesn't HAVE to fight them. Fighting anyone at 154 lbs is a luxury for any guy that cannot even make 154 lbs on fight night.

Pac was happy to fight Margarito at 150, but not Cotto.

The funny thing is.....
