Copenhagen, Denmark - Continuing his career at the super middleweight limit WBO #4, WBA #6 and IBF #8 rated 168-lber Patrick Nielsen (26-1, 12 KOs) looked sensational in the first round of his fight against durable Ghanaian veteran Charles Adamu (23-7, 17 KOs) but then slightly regressed while still getting a one-sided unanimous decision. Scores were 120-108 - across the boards - for the Danish WBA international champion.
Nielsen, 24, dropped Adamu twice in the first but no knockdowns were issued. Adamu, 37, was wilting under Nielsen's power but he also didn't make himself any favours with his shattered balance. Nielsen kept pressing an entire fight but his punch output slowly decreased and he gave some chance for Adamu to show signs of life in the second half. Still it was an easy night for a heavily tattooed Dane, who is now 4-0 since dropping a close decision to Dmitry Chudinov in Moscow.
