Comments Thread For: Mayweather: I Probably Made 275, 276 Million From 5/2

Floyd Mayweather Jr. (48-0, 26KOs) made more money in one night than most superstar fighters have made in a lifetime.

On May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Mayweather finally stepped in the ring with his career rival, Manny Pacquiao. While it lacked the expected fireworks, it certainly generated an ocean of money.

The fight sold 4.4 million on pay-per-view by early estimates, and had a gate of $71 million. The total revenue figure for the event is around $500 million. Mayweather had a 60-40 revenue split in his favor.

If it's 276 million you're a boss but if its 275 million you got suckered.

The most expensive - yes. The best ever - no way.
To be the best ever you have to be offensive. Floyd is not.

I don't think Mayweather is the best ever or even close to being but what you wrote is ******ed. It's how good you are at the game not how you play it.

He is lying if pay per view is 500 million he does not get 60% of that the ppv company who airs it gets half. So he gets 60% of 250. Plus 60% of gate minus what mgm keeps.
