BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - In the SHOWTIME EXTREME main event, undefeated Montenegrin Dejan “El Dinamita” Zlaticanin (17-0, 10 KOs) delivered an upset with the second knockout of the evening, tarnishing the unblemished record of Ukrainian Ivan “El Terrible” Redkach (18-1, 14 KOs) with a TKO at 1:24 of the fourth round with a devastating left hook.

Redkach had a six inch reach advantage over Zlaticanin, but the Montenegrin was the stronger more accurate man landing 33 percent of his total punches compared to Redkach’s 21 percent. Redkach took a knee in the third after a low blow and an accidental headbutt that led to a small cut. At the time of the stoppage, Zlaticanin was ahead on all the scorecards, 27-30 and 28-29 twice.

Redkach should fight Bluekach and the winner gets Greenkach.

... The Ukrainian was hanging from the ropes when the ref stopped the fight...

The stoppage was iffy. Most of the punches in that last flurry didn't even land and the ref technically should have called another knockdown when he was through the ropes.

But I think he was over-matched and most likely would have been stopped in that round or later in the fight.

EDIT: On another note, like the commentary pointed out, everyone down there seemed inexperienced. I didn't even see a cut on Redkach and the ref asked him if he wanted to see a doctor. Then the doctor was practically working on the cut for him.

fair stopage, he got caught swinging, just one of them things. Not too enamoured with either guy tbh, dejan is too reliant on that back hand to start his attacks off, dont realy view either as up there per say.

It was a great stoppage, the idea that he was fine is pretty laughable.

He was done. Seemed out of sorts from round one. Not his day, he can come back another time.
