The opening bout of the 11-fight card turned out to be a corker, but with Juan Cabrera keeping his unbeaten record intact following a debatable decision win over Timothy Hall Jr. Scores were 78-74 (twice) and 77-75 in favor of Cabrera (23-0, 16KOs), who was fighting for the first time in nearly a year. I was looking at Showtimes site and they do not mention, that I could see, that the fight tonight is for the WBC belt. Does this mean that Haymon has so much pull even with Showtime that they don't bother to mention what title is actually on the line? Well, that does help to explain wht Showtime would pony up for such a 5hit fight. Me personally I hope the PBC fails and this is why.

I truly believe that Haymon is going to try and pull a UFC with boxing. He will toss out all these free bouts. While doing this I believe he will develop his own PBC rankings and belts. Then a couple years down the road he will start having PBC 1 and PBC 2 etc. etc. And I honestly believe they will then be PPV events like the UFC.

The last thing boxing needs is more belts regardless of where they come from and no thanks to weekly PPV Boxing events. I also have no desire what so ever to watch that lame a$$ heavyweight fight tonight. But I am a little pissed that Walters didn't make weight but I will still be tuning into HBO.
