  • Comments Thread For: Adrien Broner Confident: I Might Stop Shawn Porter

It's less than a week away until Premier Boxing Champions returns to NBC, when former three division champion Adrien "The Problem" Broner (30-1, 22 KOs) collides with "Showtime" Shawn Porter (25-1-1, 16 KOs) in a welterweight fight taking place at 144-pounds.

The fight takes place on Saturday, June 20 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The two Ohio fighters know each other very well and they have sparred in the past. Broner is confident of victory and believes he's capable of knocking Porter out.

He couldn't even stop Molina who Amir Khan stopped. No way in hell is he stopping Porter, he lacks power at 140. Broner UD.

Porter ate some hard right hands against a bigger and better puncher in Brook and never seemed seriously hurt. His only chance of a stoppage is on cuts

I'm sticking to Porter by KO edit: unless he looks horrible at weigh in... but even then not sure if Broner lasting 12

                  Delusional. Porter Will Stop Broner!

This was the wrong fight picked for Broner. Not a slow, methodical, flat footed, plodding, lead with your chin, Latino. This is a young, recent former Welterweight Champion, with great hand speed, footwork, clean living, and hits really hard; just ask Paulie Mags who lost a controversial decision to Broner (and I'm not even a Mags fan). Porter nearly put Mags in a coma. Broner is no Kell Brook either. You can bet Porter has something to prove, puts a beat down on Broner. Juan Manuel Marquez didn't want anything to do with Porter when he had a title and called out JMM!

lol, Broner stating that everyone came late to see him fight on the undercard of Oscar-Pacquiao is probably the funniest thing I've heard him say so far.
