  • Comments Thread For: Walters Eyes Revenge, Warns Marriaga of Vicious KO

Someone is going to walk away with the first career defeat on Saturday night at The Theater at Madison Square Garden. Two hard hitters, WBA featherweight champion Nicholas Walters (25-0, 21 KOs), and dangerous challenger Miguel Marriaga (20-0, 18 KOs), will collide in the HBO Boxing After Dark televised co-feature.

Marriaga claims that he fought, and beat, Walters in the amateurs. Walters has no memory of that fight, but admits it very well may have happened. He sent a warning that he trained the entire camp with the goal of getting a knockout win and he plans to end the fight early in vicious fashion.

I highly doubt Walters can't remember losing to Marriaga. Seems to me Walters is trying to pretend the loses never happened and that's never good when you facing the man that beat you.

He should learn from those set backs and grow from them.

"I have trained for a knockout victory. I am going to destroy him."

Walters is gonna bring the pain and rain down the smackdown.

I've seen walters get wobbled a couple of times,if that guy really hits as hard as his record indicates he just might knock him down and hurt him, don't know about winning,i'm going for marriage though

Walters is laying this kid out. Amateurs are nothing compared to the big leagues.

Professional fighters often don't remember who they faced as an amatuer because they have so many amatuer fights that are so short without any fanfare or hoopla. Its not that deep.
