Comments Thread For: Prince Naseem: I Want To See Amir Khan Fight Brook

Hall of Famer Prince Naseem Hamed, now 41-years-old, would like to see his close friend Amir Khan (31-3, 19KOs) mix it up with IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (35-0, 24KOs).

Both fighters were in action last month, with Khan gutting out a decision victory over Chris Algieri and Brook blowing past domestic challenger Frankie Gavin.

Khan-Brook is one of the biggest fights to be made in the UK, but the Bolton boxer is fixated on landing a fight with WBC/WBA/WBO welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. on September 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

I still remember how the British public turned on Naz after that loss

IMO one of the most important boxers in boxing history

Boxers like Floyd, Pac and all the other little men owe this guy a big thankyou

Its crazy to think both Brook and Khan were mainly inspired by Naz to take up boxing.

Good to hear a British icon speakn on this topic. Khan has to realize and acknowledge that Brook is a CURRENT WORLD CHAMPION while he talks garbage about him at the same time, he(khan) hasnt seen that level in years.

I know i bash Khan all the time and i still will until he steps up, but i do have to give him credit, when he won his world title(s) he didnt run back across the pond and hold it hostage like every other brit champ before and after him, Brook included. Which brings up a good point, whats the point of Brook having a title if hes fightn the same level comp as before? Id like to root for Brook but whats the point

Brook was also inspired by Witter apparently.

He inspired me to take up amateur boxing too... It's crazy to think a guy from all the way out in the UK could influence a kid on another continent, from a different ethnic background to get into a combat sport. It was the Kevin Kelley fight and a 12 or 13 year old me was watching it in awe... I couldn't believe what I was seeing... I wanted to be able to do that. I signed up a few weeks later after not shutting up about it the whole time my mom finally caved and took me out to the gym.. I know I know "cool story bro" lol

Mate is there any brit fighter your tongue hasn't fantasized about tasting their ring piece?

Lets not forget your king of kings disabled a man, did 5 minutes in jail and has an entourage of limos pick him up from prison. He's a disgusting little man.
